Frequently asked questions.
Does Astramonti carry out electrical installation?
Our focus is the design integration of lighting and decorative surfaces. Electrical installation, protection and connections must be performed by appropriately qualified professionals.
Can lighting be added to an existing wall?
Sometimes, but access for wiring, surface construction and electrical safety must be checked first.
Is concealed LED lighting suitable everywhere?
Light levels, maintenance access and the thermal properties of materials must all be assessed during design.
Can lighting be concealed inside a sculptural surface?
Concealed concepts may be possible, subject to safe access, thermal management, electrical requirements and material selection.
Who is responsible for electrical installation?
Electrical design and installation must be undertaken by suitably qualified professionals according to applicable rules.
LIGHT & TEXTURE
Lighting a sculptural wall without losing its texture
Light can reveal the layers of a rock-inspired wall or soften the appearance of a decorative finish. Direction, beam control and surface reflectance matter as much as the lighting fixture itself.
Light direction and shadow
Grazing light often emphasises relief. Other surfaces may call for softer lighting to avoid glare or distracting reflections.
Colour temperature and mood
Warm light can create an inviting ambience, but the right choice depends on the overall interior. Samples should be judged under realistic lighting.
Qualified technical coordination
Electrical connections, heat management, cable paths and safe access require qualified specialists. Astramonti’s focus is the visual concept and coordination of the design intent.
