PRIVACY & DATA SECURITY
Privacy Policy
This policy describes how personal information is handled when you visit astramonti.com, submit a project enquiry, email us or use the website’s live chat.
1. Who is responsible?
The website operates under the ASTRAMONTI art and design brand. The person or legal entity responsible for deciding how personal data is processed is Astramonti. Contact: info@astramonti.com; location: Mersin, Türkiye. The brand name does not itself indicate that a separate company has been incorporated.
2. Information we receive
- Project enquiries: name, email, optional telephone number, location, service category, approximate dimensions and project description.
- Live chat: messages, selected topic, language, visited page and chat-session identifier.
- Limited server/security records such as IP address, access time and technical identifiers used to prevent abuse.
- Information you send us directly by email.
Please do not include health data, identification documents, payment card details or other sensitive information in project descriptions.
3. Purposes of processing
We use the information to review enquiries, discuss potential design projects, respond to messages, operate secure website features and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not automatically add enquiry senders to mass marketing lists.
4. Legal grounds
Depending on the specific activity, grounds under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) may include steps directly related to entering into or performing a contract (Article 5/2(c)); legitimate interests that do not override fundamental rights (Article 5/2(f)); establishment or defence of a legal right (Article 5/2(e)); or compliance with law (Article 5/2(ç)). Where specific consent is legally required, this must be requested separately. A checkbox acknowledging a notice is not, by itself, consent to unrelated processing or transfers.
5. Service providers and international transfers
The site runs on WordPress and hosting infrastructure. Enquiries may be transmitted through email and SMTP providers. Live-chat messages are relayed via an Astramonti Telegram bot to an authorised team group, and replies are displayed on the website. Relevant providers and authorised personnel may receive information for these purposes.
Telegram and other international services may process information outside Türkiye. Cross-border transfers must have an appropriate legal basis and safeguards under applicable law; publication of this notice alone does not establish such a basis. You can contact us by email instead of using live chat.
6. Cookies and third-party resources
Essential cookies or session mechanisms may be used for security and operation. Some visual assets or fonts may be requested from external services. If analytics, advertising or other optional tools are enabled in the future, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although this may affect functionality.
7. Retention and protection
The Astramonti WordPress live-chat module is configured to clean up locally stored messages after 30 days; copies in Telegram or third-party systems are managed separately. Email enquiries are held for as long as needed to handle the matter and any applicable legal obligations or claims. Access is limited and security controls are used, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your rights
Under applicable Turkish law, you can request information about processing, correction, erasure where conditions are met, information about disclosures and other rights specified in KVKK Article 11. Requests may be sent to info@astramonti.com and will be handled under applicable procedural rules. Where GDPR applies to a specific processing activity, additional rights may be available under that regulation.
9. Changes
We may update this policy if our tools, processing activities or relevant laws change. The current version will be published here. The separate Personal Data Protection Notice contains the statutory KVKK information.
